Day #2 began with a look into the daily papers, viewing what was going on around the world.

We are now becoming more familiar with the different types of papers and the way they write their stories.

Building up a collection of valuable followers on twitter has also been an ongoing task for us both, so we have been searching for local editors and news writers to follow on the social media sites.

Hopefully, they will follow us back!

Mid-morning, we were on the phones ringing magazine companies to see whether they would be interested in promoting one of our client’s competitions.

Phone calls will be a main part of our job; so we spoke over the phone to magazines around the UK, introducing them to the ideas for our client, Solmar Villas.

We also had some time out of the office, promoting Arch’s Elvis Tribute Night Tickets to local businesses in the area.

Many magazine companies have feature lists, and this was one of our tasks for today, to find features lists for magazines which are relevant to our clients’ businesses. This should open up opportunities for features.

We have learnt many new skills which we will use throughout the apprenticeship and future jobs.

Overall a good day 🙂

Tom & Emma
