The PR Guru

November 7, 2013

Yesterday we went down to Cross Rhythms City Radio for an interview with Chris Mountford, about #saysomethingpositive. It will be aired on Friday on 101.8FM at 8:10am and 10:10am, so make sure you tune in!

Whilst we were there we were telling people about the campaign and of course plugging our little survey!

When Jessie J shaved her head in aid of Comic Relief last year, it sent a message to one fan in particular.

13-year-old Madison Ball followed suit, in an attempt to raise £500 for Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. Not only did she succeed, but she managed to raise over £600 for the charity.

It takes a lot of courage for a young girl to undergo such a dramatic change in appearance and she did it for all the right reasons.

Well done Madison!

Those of you who regularly go to Hanley will be delighted to know that ‘Number 26’ has now become a permanent fixture in the town centre following a successful summer.

The shop sells unique, unusual and bespoke gifts, such as nick-nacks and speciality American sweets.

Establishments like this will encourage more people to the city and the fresh, innovative ideas will help Hanley create a brighter, more unique identity.

A sculpture of a giant hand will be made to commemorate the heritage of The Potteries.

A local composer, Ellie Davies, organised its creation as part of the Gladstone Fired Up! Project. Each of the contributors will have their name written on the hand.

The hand will be fired at the Spode factory today.
