#SAYSOMETHINGPOSITIVE CELEBRATES OUR LOCAL HEROES

It’s a brand new week, and once again we’re looking forward to see what positivity we can find in Staffordshire.

LEST WE FORGET

Today is, of course, Armistice Day, and we held our two minutes silence here at RSA.

The area played a huge part in the war effort – not least with the design of the Spitfire by local lad Reginald Mitchell.

All across North Staffordshire people were doing the same to remember our brave soldiers, 13000 of which fell in World War I alone.

More than 1000 turned out in Burslem, with hundreds more showing their respects at Stoke Minster.

We will remember them.

PLANS FOR HUGE ROBBIE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION UNDERWAY

Let’s face it – we all love Robbie here (well, most of us!)

So of course we’ll be celebrating his 40th birthday in style – here in Stoke-on-Trent of course!

Organisers want to fill Robbie’s birthday month of February with exhibitions and Robbie-themed events.

We can’t wait!

WE’RE A TALENTED BUNCH IN NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE…

And we’ve got the awards to prove it – or at least over 200 local children have!

An awards evening at King’s Hall, Stoke honoured their achievements over the last year.

And we spent a couple of hours earlier at the launch of Rock Nativity, The Mitchell Arts Centre’s Christmas production, which will feature a host of local actors.
