Liz Thursfield

Struggle using the Internet? Want to know how to get your business online?

You’re in luck! The next session of our PR Coaching Programme will be here before you know it.

On 20th December at Lymedale Business Centre, Newcastle-under-Lyme, we have a great speaker coming along to give you advice on how your business can utilise the power of Facebook to bring in enquiries and for promotion.

There are currently more than 500 million people on Facebook and it is one of the most visited websites on the Internet, so getting your business a page/group on here is bound to get you noticed.

Not only that… our session is taken by a professional Social Media Advisor, Liz Thursfield, who has her own website Ariadne’s Thread.

Liz’ approach to consultancy is to concentrate on getting you the results you want and not imposing her own agenda. She is direct and straightforward, giving workable solutions!

When we did a LinkedIn poll, a lot of you said you would like more information on how to harness the power of the Internet, so why not come along and get some advice from Liz?

We hope to see you there.

If you’d like to join us, give us a call on 01782 472035/07880 733138 or e-mail info@richardswancottassociates.co.uk.

The two-hour session takes place between 12 and 2. Places cost £60 + VAT.

Our Coaching Programme consists of 12 sessions, each covering a different aspect of PR. These include organising local media coverage, using social networking sites, and putting together events on a limited budget.

Sam Metcalf

Have you heard the news?

Our Be Your Own PR Person coaching programme is moving to a larger venue due to increased demand.

The next session will be held in the lecture theatre at the Sutherland Institute in Longton.

We decided to move from Lymedale Business Centre because many business owners were eager to hear the thoughts of speaker Sam Metcalf, who is the deputy editor of Midlands Business Insider, the region’s largest business magazine.

The programme has had a very encouraging response in its first 12 months and we are looking to expand it into new areas next year.

The two-hour session takes place on November 22nd 2010, between 12 and 2. Places cost £60 + VAT.

As I am sure many of you are aware, the programme consists of 12 sessions, each covering a different aspect of PR. These include organising local media coverage, using social networking sites, and putting together events on a limited budget.

A grant of up to £1000 is available from Business Link West Midlands for business owners who would like to take part in the programme. The deadline for applications for this funding is December 31st 2010.

If you’d like to join us, give us a call on 01782 472035/07880 733138 or e-mail info@richardswancottassociates.co.uk.

We would also like you to take part in our new LinkedIn poll to give us an idea of which sessions of our PR Coaching Programme you would find the most useful. Please click here and give us just a few minutes of your time to help us improve the services we offer. Alternatively, feel free to connect with us on LinkedIn here.

Karen Cotton

Our speaker at next Monday’s event is Karen Cotton, from Congleton-based Beacon for Business.

She’ll be focussing on LinkedIn, and having been to a couple of BforB’s social media workshops, I can testify to how knowledgeable Karen is on the subject.

But don’t just take my word for it! Here are some of the testimonials from the BforB website:

“I started the workshop knowing very little about Twitter and afraid to give it a try. Karen presented easy to follow steps, hints and tips in a way I found fun and informative.” (Nicola Wilson, Totally 4 Business)

“What an absolute pleasure to work with Beacon for Business. Karen and Lee add so much value to businesses through their software packages and training courses; thanks guys.” (Anna Woolliscroft, Market Avenue)

“I attended a Twitter workshop by Beacon for Business after joining Twitter a few months ago, but not really knowing how to get the best out of it. I now have a good idea of how to use Twitter and the various applications available.” (Cathy Dean, Internet Business Directory)

Karen will be using her expertise to show you how to:

  • create a professional LinkedIn profile
  • make yourself the industry expert using groups and discussions
  • increase your chances of getting business through the site

And all for just £60 + VAT!

To book your place, contact us on 01782 472035/07880 733138, or email info@richardswancottassociates.co.uk.
