CHARITY, DOGGY-BAGS AND FREE TICKETS!

There are so many positive stories to share today, why not tweet us with yours? #saysomethingpositive

We’re still looking for locals to tell us what they love about Stoke & North Staffs in this teeny weeny questionnaire.

WHODUNNIT? ALICE CHARITY DID!

A local charity which aids families in poverty, hosted a successful murder-mystery night at the Emma Bridgewater factory last week.

Approximately 50 sleuths showed up for the 1940’s inspired crime event – meaning a fantastic sum of money was raised for the non-profit organisation.

Congratulations guys and dolls!

SIGNAL 2 DOGGIE BAG APPEAL

Signal 2 are working closely with City Dogs Home to help give these unwanted pets some much needed affection this Christmas.

They are looking to build doggy-bags with items such as blankets, canned dog food, dried food and bedding.

You can drop your items off at either the Signal Reception or City Dogs Home.

WIN 2 TICKETS TO THE MIRACULOUS “ROCK NATIVITY’

With just under 2 weeks until Rock Nativity makes its debut at the Mitchell Arts Centre, the theatre is giving you the opportunity to win a pair of tickets for the show.

The Centre just wants to hear about the worst present you have ever received for Christmas.

You can either participate on Facebook and comment below the image here or tweet @Mitchell_Arts with your answer!

Good Luck!

It’s Monday all over again!

Another weekend has been and gone, which means another two days of great news!

As usual there’s plenty from Staffordshire, but if you want us to chat about your story then why not tweet us with the hashtag #saysomethingpositive?

EVER FANCIED TRACING YOUR FAMILY HISTORY?

Us too! But one local man has actually done it.

Auctioneer Tom Spencer-Andrew has tracked down his GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT-GREAT grandfather.

The trace took 18 months.

On second thoughts, it seems like a lot of work…

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS GO DOWN FABULOUSLY

Trentham Gardens’ annual light switch-on attracted more than 8,000 visitors last Friday.

The schedule was jam-packed with local music talent – and of course Mr and Mrs Claus made an appearance!

EXTRA SHOPPING TIME!

Or other things like sightseeing, business meetings…you get the gist.

Virgin Trains are set to introduce a new late service from London to Stoke-on-Trent.

You can find even more great stories just like these by searching for Staffordshire news online. Lets keep up the pride in our county!

WAHHHH!

That scream was for the one and only ROD STEWART, who is coming to the Britannia Stadium next summer

He will be performing as part of a 5-venue tour.

So, where do we buy the tickets?!

FILM FESTIVAL GOES DOWN A TREAT

The Bottlecap Film Festival was held recently in Newcastle-under-Lyme

The event was attended by former Staffordshire University student and Oscar winner, Peter Bebb.

We love to see a Stokie done good!
